Real Madrid join race for Palermo starlet

European heavyweights Real Madrid are the latest club to join the race to sign Palermo starlet Paulo Dybala.

The 21-year-old has courted interest from a host clubs in recent months including English Premier League giants Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, following his breakout season with the Rosaneri.

The Spanish giants are reportedly ready to offload incumbent striker Karim Benzema in order to secure Dybala’s services, according to the Metro.

The report suggests Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini values the Argentine forward in the region of €45 million, who is under contract until June 2016.

Dybala has enjoyed a fruitful season in front of goal this campaign, netting 12 Serie A goals and laying on a further eight assists for his teammates.
