France international and Olympique Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda is the latest name to be linked with Roma.

The Giallorossi are thought to be keen on replacing current incumbent 37-year-old Morgan De Sanctis given his erratic performances at times, and would like a younger keeper to build a defence around.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Marseille man, whose contract is up in June 2016, is attracting interest from the capital club as they look for De Sanctis’ heir.

Other names have been banded around the rumour mill in regards to the Giallorossi goalkeeping position, including Inter’s Samir Handanovic, as well as Norberto Neto of Fiorentina, whose contract expires in the summer.

Mandanda has been with Marseille since 2007, and has made 27 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
