Roma midfielder Seydou Keita has revealed that he is yet to open talks with the capital club over a contract extension.

The Mali international joined on a one-year deal last summer from Valencia and there is no agreement in place as yet to prolong his spell in the Eternal City.

Keita, 35, chose to clarify the situation around his contract by posting on Twitter: “I’m very good at Roma but there’s no news about my renewal. Therefore, I deny the press reports on this subject.”

He has been linked with a number of Premier League sides should he fail to agree to extend his stay with the Giallorossi.

Keita scored the equaliser against champions Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico on Monday night.
