James Pallotta RomaRoma club president James Pallotta was happy to discuss the future of current coach Rudi Garcia after the Giallorossi drew 1-1 with Juventus on Monday evening.

Despite still clinging on to second place in the league, the capital club have been on a poor run of form, sitting nine points behind the Bianconeri and doubts have surfaced as to whether the French tactician will remain in Rome for the foreseeable future.

“Garcia will be with us next year, ” Pallotta told Vocegiallorossa. “The team reacted brilliantly in the last 30 minutes of that match. Many would have folded after having gone down to ten men and a goal behind.”

The owner also spoke about the recurring injury to midfielder Kevin Strootman and rumours suggesting a botched operation has put the player’s career at risk.

“There was no issue with the operation,” he said. “He was fine but was then unlucky.  This injury has nothing to do with the previous one.”
