Former Cagliari forward Ibarbo has featured for just 17 minutes at his new club, aggravating an underlining issue which sees the striker back on the treatment table for the foreseeable future.
Annoyingly for Roma supporters, director Walter Sabatini was very close to bringing Mohamed Salah to the Stadio Olimpico, before changing his mind and pursuing Doumbia instead.
Since joining Fiorentina from Chelsea in January, Salah has scored six goals in seven games and has become an instant star in Serie A.
