Arrigo Sacchi spoke after the Roma and Juventus’ 1-1 draw on Monday evening in Serie A, claiming the Giallorossi were better once Francesco Totti and Daniele De Rossi came off.

After Roma went a man and a goal down, Rudi Garcia opted to substitute both Totti and De Rossi out in th space of two minutes and still with 20 minutes left in the match.

Sacchi offered his post-match analysis, observing that Roma had shown far more impetus once the two Roma stalwarts stepped off the pitch.

“The first half was cagey and boring because one team controlled the game and the other could not exercise enough pressure,” Sacchi said on Sportsmediaset.

“Changing Totti and De Rossi changed the game and galvanized Roma, especially after they had gone a goal down and had to push until the end.”

The draw did Roma no particular good however, as they remain nine points behind leaders Juventus.
