Sampdoria are set to offer midfielders Pedro Obiang and Roberto Soriano new contracts to ward off interest from abroad.

Both players are contracted to the Blucerchiati until June 2017 but a new deal would involve an extension and a wage rise.

Il Secolo XIX reports that club president Massimo Ferrero will shortly give instructions to sporting director Carlo Osti on the terms with which to pursue negotiations.

Obiang has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season for Sampdoria, scoring three goals, but has been a target for West Ham United in recent times.

Soriano, who represented Bayern Munich at a youth level, has made 25 appearances so far this term and has attracted interest from the likes of Schalke 04, Inter and Manchester City after making his Italy debut on November 16 and he is part of the most recent Azzurri side that will face Bulgaria and England.
