Round 25 of the Serie A season saw Roma and Juventus share the points in the big Monday evening clash.

Elsewhere Inter’s winning run came to an end as they lost to Fiorentina whilst Torino made it 12 games unbeaten in all competitions as they upset Napoli.

Sampdoria came from a goal behind to beat Atalanta and Lazio brushed Sassuolo aside 3-0. The continuing crisis at Parma meant their game with Genoa did not go ahead.

The formation chosen for the Team of The Week is a 4-3-3 with a South Americans front three.

Do you agree with our choices? Feel free to leave a comment if you disagree with any of them.

Neto – Fiorentina (2 Team of The Week appearances)

The Brazilian had a quiet first half in the game against Inter but had to be on his toes in the second to preserve his clean sheet. He made several crucial stops to deny Guarin, Vidic and Shaqiri.

Eros Pisano – Verona

The fullback gave a gritty solid defensive display, and whilst he did not offer too much going forward he won plenty of tackles when faced by the Cagliari forwards..

Team of the Week 25Alessio Romagnoli – Sampdoria (2 apps)

The young centre back did well to retain his composure when Atalanta were dominating and pushing for a vital second goal. He also denied Mauricio Pinilla what looked like a certain goal with a crucial block.

Dario Dainelli – Chievo

Kept Mattia Destro subdued before he was substituted and made a couple of well timed clearances that would have surely otherwise resulted in goals.

Boukary Drame – Atalanta

A great all action display from the Senegalese international. He assisted the first goal with a precise cross and caused the Sampdoria defenders plenty of problems with his attacking forays.

Danilo Cataldi – Lazio

The youngster put in an excellent all round midfield display, breaking up the Sassuolo attacks and also contributing to his side’s offensive moves. A mature head on young shoulders.

Omar El Kaddouri – Torino

The Moroccan international sat deep and defended when needed against his parent club Napoli but also looked to instigate attacking moves and play his more natural creative game when he had the chance. Rarely lost the ball and looked to spread the play to the side’s wing backs whenever possible

Fredy Guarin – Inter (2 apps)

The Nerazzurri’s best player in their game with Fiorentina, even if he was less influential in the second half. Was unlucky not to score with an effort that rattled the woodwork and went past opponents with ease at times.

Felipe Anderson – Lazio (5 apps)

The Brazilian appears to back to his best following a few weeks on the sidelines. His speed and trickery was too much for the Sassuolo defenders. He also got on the score sheet with a lovely curling effort.

Luis Muriel – Sampdoria

Not a great all round performance from the Columbian international but he lit up the game against Atalanta when he rifled in a half volley from an improbable angle after some neat chest control.

Carlos Tevez – Juventus (6 apps)

There was relentless pressing and harrying when not in possession from the Argentine and he capped of the display with a picture perfect free kick.
