AC Milan winger Suso has revealed that he’s still doing his best to adapt to Italian football and admits that he’s working hard for his chance to break into the Diavolo squad.

The 21-year-old, who arrived at the Rossoneri from Liverpool in January, has pointed out that football in Italy is played quite differently than it is in England and Spain, though he’s been able to learn the ropes well with the help of his new team-mates.

Suso spoke to Milan Channel on Tuesday about his mission to impress his peers at AC Milan and commented on which position he prefers to play in.

“I’m continuing to adapt to Italian football, it’s been going well thanks to the help from my team-mates,” said the Spaniard.

“This is a different kind of football when compared to English and Spanish football.

“I would love to play a big part at this club, I’m trying to understand the mechanisms to this style of football and waiting for my chance.

“My favourite position is that of a playmaker. In the past few years, I’ve played in the midfield on the right and left wings. I’m available to play wherever the coach wants me to.”
