Italy EnglandThe police force are ready to face up to the reported 2000 England fans that are in Turin for Tuesday night’s prestige friendly against Italy, although little trouble is forecast.

Tensions had been raised in recent days after Azzurri head coach Antonio Conte had received several threats in the wake of their recent draw with Bulgaria and Conte is set to receive a mixed reception on his return to Juventus Stadium, however the police have more concerns about English hooligans.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, large numbers of police offers will be on duty to ensure that no trouble breaks out in the centre of Turin or at the game, although there should be no problems tonight according to the Interior Ministry.

Although the game has been labelled a prestige friendly, both sides are not set to field their strongest starting XIs, as a number of players have been released from both squads following last weekends Euro 2016 qualifiers.
