AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi admitted that his side deserved their defeat, and believes he should be the one to blame.

A late goal from Giampaolo Pazzini was not enough to rescue his side from the jaws of defeat as his side stumbled once again, piling on the pressure to a team who have suffered a poor season and a coach whose position is currently under threat.

“I’m sorry because this isn’t the first time I have seen a bad attitude from the team, and I’m responsible for this.” he told Mediaset

“We didn’t enter the game with the correct mindset and after that it’s pretty hard to find.

“I tried to make that clear to the team at half time. For this we deserved to lose.

“Our main aim is to honour the shirt that we wear, we have to play differently because evidently today we didn’t give our all,” the 41-year-old stated. “I don’t know what has happened to us after the derby.”

“I’m disappointed, I’m sorry for the president, the team, and the fans.

“Luckily we have a game on Wednesday in which we must do so much better.”
