AC Milan have reportedly been offered a swap deal for exiled striker Robinho.

The forward is currently on loan at Brazilian side Santos, who are believed to want to extend the player’s stay on a permanent basis, and have now offered a player-for-player deal to the Rossoneri.

Santos have offered defender Gustavo Henrique to Filippo Inzaghi’s team in a straight swap for 31-year-old Robinho, according to Tuttosport.

The Alvinegro Praiano had planned to purchase the player with an outright monetary payment, but financial difficulties had required a new plan to be drawn up.

It is reported that the deal depends on whether the Brazilian Serie A outfit can successfully convince Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani that 22-year-old Henrique is worth sacrificing a potential cash windfall for.

Robinho is currently in his third separate spell with Santos, during a career where in addition to Milan he also made appearances for Manchester City and Real Madrid.
