AC Milan are set to report record losses, following a disappointing season under new coach Filippo Inzaghi with the club languishing in 10th position in Serie A.

The team’s failure to participate in the Champions League this season will contribute significantly to a reduction in revenue. The Rossoneri posted a loss of nearly €7 million in 2012 despite selling key assets such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva. They made a loss of around €15 million in the 2013 financial year.

According to La Repubblica, potential buyer Bee Taechaubol will arrive in Milan in the coming hours in order to have a meeting with the Milan directors about the economic situation, to try and finalise an agreement with Berlusconi to sell part of his stake in the club.

The club’s huge losses mean that Milan may face sanctions from UEFA if they don’t meet the Financial Fair Play requirements should they qualify for Europe.
