AC Milan supporters are set to resume their protests against president Silvio Berlusconi’s running of the club when the Rossoneri host Genoa at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday evening.

The Curva Sud first demonstrated when Milan faced Cagliari earlier in the month with many supporters boycotting the stadium for the match and banners displayed by the few who did turn up criticised the lack of investment in the team over the past few seasons.

After “granting” a truce to the club’s hierarchy for the Milanese derby the ultras groups have announced that their dissent will resume during the Rossoneri’s next home fixture.

“On Wednesday night at the Milan-Genoa game we ask you to assemble on the Curva before 8pmĀ in order to give life to another protest initiative,” reads a message on the ultras website.

Milan are struggling through another disappointing season and will almost certainly miss out on European football for a second consecutive season following their 2-1 weekend defeat to Udinese.
