Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson says his side will do everything in their power to bring the Coppa Italia back to the capital when they face Juventus in the final in June.

The Brazilian, who was signed in June 2013 for €8 million from Santos, has been in sensational form for the Biancocelesti in the past five months, scoring 10 times including a double in the derby against Roma.

“It would be my first cup with Lazio and we are desperate to win it. We will work hard and do all we can to do that,” Anderson told Lazio Style Radio.

The 22-year-old initial struggled to live up to the price tag after signing but feels he is now settled and ready to show his worth to the Le Aquile after breaking into the side

“At the end of last season I realized that I would be able to force myself into the Lazio side,” he continued.

“I did not want to go on vacation because I had the confidence to do well. I believed in myself and fans were important.

“Before the injury to Candreva, I was well prepared and the coach [Stefano Pioli] always reassured me I would get a chance. I have always worked hard and this has given me even more confidence.

“I have to pay back the confidence of the coach. I tried to exploit the injury that happened to Candreva. I felt sorry for the injury to Antonio, but I tried to do my best.”

Lazio head to Turin on Saturday evening to face Serie A leaders Juventus, and will hope to continue their fine form as they look for their ninth win in a row and cement second place ahead of rivals Roma.
