Higuain - Napoli v GenoaEnglish Premier League club Arsenal have joined Juventus in the race to sign Napoli star striker Gonzalo Higuain, who looks set to leave the Partenopei in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old Argentinian international has managed to score 24 goals and assisted another 9 in 48 appearances for Napoli across all competitions this season, which could be one of his last at the Stadio San Paolo.

According to Metro, Arsenal are looking for a striker and are ready to battle out Juventus to secure the services of the experienced forward.

The Gunners seem to be in pole position in the race for Higuain at the moment, preparing a €41.5 million offer for the striker.

However, much will depend on the future of Rafael Benitez, as well as Champions League football, but if Napoli were to sell Higuain, the preferred destination would be abroad.
