Azzurri star Eder could’ve landed at Napoli, states agent

Eder Jones Italy EnglandAndrea Bagnoli, the agent of Sampdoria and Italy star Eder, claims his client was followed by Napoli during his Frosinone days.

The 28-year-old Brazilian-born striker made his international bow for the Azzurri in the matches against Bulgaria and England this past week, impressing in both matches.

The tireless forward has enjoyed a sensational season with Sampdoria, having spent most of his career in the Serie B with various teams, including a successful stint at Frosinone from 2008-09, producing 21 goals in 52 games.

“Napoli had followed him since his Frosinone days, but he was co-owned by Empoli who called him back to the club,” Bagnoli told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“This year is dedicated to Sampdoria, where he has earned a national team call-up and become one of the most prolific second-strikers in the Serie A.

“Will he remain at Samp? He has a contract, but he is clearly gaining a lot of attention with this national team call-up.
