Rafael Benitez NapoliNapoli coach Rafa Benitez has revealed he would like to face Fiorentina in the Europa League final following his side’s 6-3 quarter-final win on aggregate over Wolfsburg.

The Spaniard could match Giovanni Trapattoni in becoming only the second coach to win the UEFA Cup and Europa League for a third time after a 2-2 draw against the Bundesliga side at the San Paolo on Thursday evening.

“The remaining teams will all be difficult to deal with, so it will not be easy,” the 55-year-old tactician told Mediaset Premium after the match.

“We’ll see who we pick, but we will face them with both respect and awareness of our own quality.

“I think we’ve shown over these two games that we are a strong side. If I can choose, I’d rather face Fiorentina in the final than the semi-final.”

Benitez also confirmed that his future at Napoli depends on the future plans put forward by president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

“We will speak in a few days, I want to know what his plans are for the future and if he feels I am a part of those plans,” he continued.

“If there is a concrete idea that can be shared by both parties then we will have a discussion, but at the moment there is nothing new.”

Sevilla is going to the final I reckon. So that will leave one spot for Napoli or Fiorentina.
