Antonio Cassano has once again hinted that he would like to join former club Sampdoria at the end of the season, professing his love for the Blucerchiati.
The 32-year-old Italian international has been without a club ever since mutually terminating his contract with Parma in January over unpaid wages, but is keen to continue playing on next season.
The talented, but controversial forward was idolized at Samp during his time there from 2007-11, after the club rescued him from a difficult spell at Real Madrid.
“I will always be an Interista, but my heart belongs to Sampdoria,” Cassano told Sport Mediaset.
“[On life after football] I’d like to be a technical director, to liaise between the club and the team. I can see myself doing well in that role.”
