Udinese defender Danilo reflected on Udinese’s unstable season and showed support to club coach Andrea Stramaccioni after his side defeated AC Milan 2-1 on Saturday evening at the Stadio Friuli in Serie A.

The Zebrette managed to pick up their first win in six matches, taking them up to 12th place in the Serie A table with 38 points from 32 matches.

“This is the Udinese of this season, we have one great performance and then perform poorly in four other games,” Danilo told Sky Sport Italia after the match.

“Today we won because of the coach. Stramaccioni is a good coach, who helps us a lot and suffered a lot in the past months.

“This was the right time to change things, as we are facing Inter on Tuesday already.

“Milan did not expect such an aggresive Udinese side today. Regarding my future? I will stay at Udinese.”
