Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle was in a fantastic mood after the Viola’s 2-0 win over Dynamo Kiev Thursday evening in the Europa League.
The Italian businessman bought the Tuscan club back in 2002 along with his brother Andrea, and has been a patron of the club ever since.
“Tonight was a great night,” the billionaire told reporters after the game. “I saw a fantastic atmosphere out here.
“There is a great sense of satisfaction today. Fiorentina are a strong team, and when we play well there is not a team we can’t compete with.
“We must continue on like this; I hope to go as far as possible [in the Europa League].
“This is a real team with a big heart. Tonight was a perfect evening, and I knew that this team would play well for the city.”
