New AC Milan loanee Marco Van Ginkel interacted via social media with the fans, giving his thoughts on his time in Milan and the upcoming derby.

Van Ginkel arrived on loan from Chelsea in the summer, and has played eight times for AC Milan this season.

After having featured in two successive games for the Rossoneri — against Palermo and Sampdoria — Van Ginkel answered fans’ questions via Twitter about his time in Milan and Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

“Milan is a beautiful city and I am honored to be playing at a club that saw so many champions and won so many trophies,” Van Ginkel replied via the club’s official Twitter account.

“I get along best with Suso, they [his teammates] call us ‘Tom and Jerry’. [Riccardo] Montolivo sometimes calls me ‘Justin’ though. [Michael] Essien is also very funny.

“I am very excited about the derby, and it will be a good chance for us to reach Europe. We are ready for any challenge.

“A goal or a victory? Ideally I would prefer to score and win the game.”
