Eusebio Di Francesco SassuoloSassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco is targeting a move further into mid-table, as well as entertainment in a busy period of games for the Neroverdi.

The 45-year-old’s side travel to Hellas Verona on Sunday before home games with Roma and Palermo in the next six days as the season draws to a close with 13 points separating Sassuolo from both relegation and European qualification.

“These are big games, we want to win points to take us away from the lower parts of the table and also to have fun,” the tactician told the press.

“Verona have made clear that they also want to play and attack, which I’m glad for because I hope it will be a good game.”

The oft-ill-disciplined Emilia-Romagna outfit have won just one game in each month since November, and with a pleasing run of fixtures between now and the end of the season, Di Francesco hopes his side will remain focussed.

“We’ll have to be careful, Verona are a good team with a good coach,” he said. “After starting with some difficulty they have recovered well.

“Three games in six days can be heavy and we have many injured players, but I hope those on the pitch will do well.”
