Udinese defender Maurizio Domizzi expressed his joy after winning 2-1 against AC Milan at the Stadio Friuli on Saturday evening.

The win will come as a relief to the Zebrette as they end a six game winless streak thanks to goals from Giampiero Pinzi and Emmanuel Badu. Andrea Stramaccioni’s side moved up into 12th place on 38 points having played a game more than their rivals.

”We dominated and outclassed Milan. They are struggling in the league and it reflects in their performances.”, Domizzi told SkySport in the post match interview.

The 34-year-old also spoke about his team’s under fire boss Andrea Stramaccioni as well as his long awaited return from injury.

”A victory is not needed to show that the team is with him,” the defender continued. “He has to be pleased with our performance today.

”I am happy to have returned after a long term injury and today the satisfaction was double because of the victory.”

Udinese will be keen to end the season on a high note but face difficult fixtures in the coming weeks against the likes of Inter, Sampdoria and Roma.
