Parma head coach Roberto Donadoni has expressed the determination of his relegation bound side to perform well on Sunday when Palermo is welcomed to the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Despite notching back to back wins in April against Juventus as Udinese, the writing is certainly on the wall for the Ducali, and they will get a tough test from a resurgent Rosanero team on Sunday.

“I hope that the work done during the week has served well,” said Donadoni to the press.

“It’s important to deal with the game well against an opponent who has done very well this season.”

The coach followed with acknowledgement of his side’s financial struggles and with encouragement of his veteran captain Alessandro Lucarelli.

“I do not need any more arguments,” he said. “We must continue to play to honour our profession, and take to the field to win against Palermo.

“[Lucarelli] has given so much on the technical side, he doesn’t play as much at the moment, but his contribution remains essential.”
