Parma coach Roberto Donadoni said his team’s stunning 1-0 win over Juventus made him feel that fairy tales can come true after his side pulled off the shock of the season at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Saturday.

A goal from Jose Mauri was enough to submit the Bianconeri to defeat and continue an impressive run of form from the Crociati, who have won back-to-back games and are unbeaten in three matches.

“We’re still last, but it’s satisfying to beat the first-placed team,” said Donadoni to Sky Sport Italia.

“These matches mean a lot to our fans and we’re happy to give them satisfaction like this in such a miserable year.

“We must give credit to our players for their extraordinary efforts. We want to end this campaign well and build for the future as well as repaying our fans for their love.

“I have a young daughter and it was like watching a fairy tale with her today. This match reminded me that fairy tales can come true.”
