Fiorentina are interested in acquiring Chelsea-owned striker Mohamed Salah permanently already this summer, as the Egyptian striker has made immediate impact and is showing great qualities in his first months in Serie A.

The 22-year-old Egyptian international arrived in Tuscany in the January transfer window on loan from Chelsea until June, with The Blues granting Fiorentina an option to extend the loan for next season for €1 million, as well as an agreed buy-out clause of 18 million.

However, according to Corriere Fiorentino, the Viola are taken by the player, and club president Andrea Delle Valle is preparing to try to sign the emerging star on a permanent basis already this summer.

The most likely option, however, still remains the pre-planned one with Chelsea, but it seems that Della Valle will try to hurry up and conclude the transfer earlier.

The Florence-based newspaper also points out that Salah’s importance for Fiorentina is not only based on his abilities and technical qualities, but also as a marketing asset in Egypt.
