Fiorentina director Eduardo Macia will join Spanish outfit Real Betis next season, a statement read on the club’s official website.
The Spaniard joined Fiorentina in November 2011 initially as a talent scout, after previous spells at Valencia, Liverpool and Olympiacos and is highly-regarded on the peninsula.
“Real Betis has signed Eduardo Macia as their new sporting director of the club for the next four years,” a statement read on Real Betis’ official website.
“The new technical director and Betis president, Juan Carlos Ollero, have signed this afternoon, and the contract will come into play on the 1st of May.”
Macia had previously been linked with Barcelona.
