Inter midfielder Hernanes has stated that city rivals AC Milan played a defensive game in both sides’ 0-0 draw on Sunday night.

The Nerazzurri missed several chances to score and had a goal disallowed in the second half when Rodrigo Palacio appeared to have fouled Rossoneri defender Luca Antonelli, and the former Lazio man stated that he does not know why it wasn’t awarded.

“AC Milan put us in danger only towards the end of the first half,” he told Sky Sport. “For the remainder of the game, we were in control, we were the better side.

“They played a defensive game, and played only on the counter-attack; we played well, but all we lacked is a goal. Or rather, we scored but I don’t know why it was disallowed.

“In the first half it was hard finding space, but in the second half I changed my style of play.”

  1. How is Inter the better side? They couldn’t even score against a squad missing its Captain (Montolivo) and its best defender (De Sciglio)? They also behind Milan in a the League table still and they’ll stay behind Milan. Inter is shit.
