Higuain: “Europa League important to fans”

Gonzalo Higuain NapoliNapoli striker Gonzalo Higuain understands the impact clinching the Europa League would have for their fans.

The Azzurri saw off German opposition in the form of Wolfsburg as they cruised to a 6-3 win oaggregate score on Thursday evening.

“We are all very happy and we want to go even further in the competition,” claimed the Argentinian post match.

“We know winning the Europa League is very important to our fans and we want to do it,” Higuain concluded.

The 27 year-old was on target for Napoli in the first leg with Jose Callejon and Dries Mertens scoring tonight.

Rafa Benitez will be looking to add to his impressive record in European competitions with another trophy.

Victory in the Europa League would also provide the chance of involvement in the UEFA Champions League.

Fiorentina were among the qualifiers for the semi finals alongside Sevilla and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
