Fiorentina winger Oleksandr Iakovenko has refused to rule out the possibility of returning to the club in the summer after his loan spell at Eredivisie side Den Haag finishes.

The well-travelled Ukrainian arrived on loan at the Kyocera Stadion during the winter transfer window, along with Wilson Eduardo and Evander Sno, and has since helped ease their relegation worries.

“I still belong to Fiorentina, so we will see what happens in the summer,” the 27-year-old told VoetbalNieuws.be.

“I certainly have no regrets. I had beautiful experiences at Fiorentina.

“It’s not necessarily a closed chapter for me because I never give up. Everything is still open.”

Iakovenko scored on his Den Haag debut in a 2-0 win against FC Twente and has since provided one assist in eight appearances.

However, the former Anderlecht winger has only made three appearances for Fiorentina since arriving in 2013, and spent a period of last year on loan with Malaga.
