Mauro Icardi has revealed that his future remains with Inter and that he wants to stay at the club despite being linked with a move away.

The talented Argentine scored a late winner to defeat Roma on Saturday night and after the game spoke of his desire to stay at the club and finish this current season in good form.

“I have three years left on my contract here, I want to be here,” Icardi told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“I will definitely be here next year. The renewal? You have to speak with Piero Ausilio and the president about that.”

He also discussed the late win against Roma, admitting that the players gave everything to the cause.

“We gave everything on the pitch, we did what Roberto Mancini asked of us, we pressed and managed to find the goal.

“We have struggled at times, like we did in the derby [against AC Milan] and we only picked up a point.

“We want to win all of our remaining games, we know it will be difficult but we will definitely fight.”
