Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia has admitted he would love to see the club do their best to bring Palermo starlet Paulo Dybala to the club this summer.

Although Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Juventus are leading the way for his signature with Roma not far behind, Ranocchia would welcome such a move.

He was addressing the media ahead of this weekend’s upcoming Milan derby and said of Dybala: “He is a player of great talent and he would definitely be a very good player here. It depends though on the coach and the president and how they would choose to invest in the team.”

The player then turned his thoughts to the challenge of AC Milan this Sunday night and says that the mood is high in the camp after last weekend’s win away to Hellas Verona.

“We are confident because this week, we have worked very well,” continued the former Bari man. “After a victory like we had last Saturday, it is easier to work well.

“That win was crucial because it allows us to arrive into the derby in a more serene and calm mood. The derby is always a thrill. We want to give our fans something to cheer after a turbulent journey. The derby is a good chance to give good emotions to the supporters.”

Ranocchia also promised a treat for his teammates should he manage to score in the match and commented on whether or not there were any Rossoneri players that he fears as well as discussing a new deal for himself.

“If I score in the derby, I promise I will buy dinner for everyone!” he laughed. “For Milan, I respect all and fear none. Menez is a good driving force but we will have 11 lions on the pitch. We will give everything for victory.

“The first year as a captain can be difficult. This is normal but I believe that I have grown and matured a lot. I hope to stay here, you will have put up with me for a long time!”
