AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi took in a point won, after the Rossoneri drew 0-0 against Inter in Sunday night’s Derby della Madonnina.

The Rossoneri were on the back-foot for much of the game, and had Philippe Mexes’ own-goal chalked off in the second half, after Rodrigo Palacio was adjudged to have fouled Luca Antonelli.

Inzaghi defended his team’s effort and resolute defending, adding that he still harbors hopes of qualifying for European football come the end of the season.

“The stakes were high and we did our best,” Inzaghi said to Sky Sport Italia.

“We could have lost just as much as we could have won, but we definitely tried to win [against Inter]. We even played with [Mattia] Destro and [Alessio] Cerci towards the end to try to score; We lacked a bit of cynicism however.

“On paper [and mathematically], we still can qualify for Europe.”
