An official statement issued by Juventus has condemned the violence which marred Sunday’s Derby della Mole.

Before the fixture had even kicked off, the Juventus team bus came under attack from a barrage of objects thrown by home fans, including bottles and stones.

“Juventus Football Club condemn all forms of violence, whether it is from their own fans or the opposition supporters,” the official statement read.

“We demand fair treatment in the evaluation of all incidents both by the sporting justice system and the media.

“Today’s events require a profound reflection from the football world, but also from institutions and the media, who are important protagonists of this spectacle.”

The incident was then followed up by a firework being thrown from the Bianconeri end into the Granata stands, which after exploding sent shrapnel towards the fans in the area, injuring 10.

Two fans were arrested after the match in connection to the violence.
