Lazio coach Stefano Pioli spoke after his team’s 2-0 away defeat to Juventus in Serie A, on Saturday evening, surrendering to the superior Bianconeri.

Lazio saw their impressive eight-game winning streak snapped, as Carlos Tevez and Leonardo Bonucci scored the goals to clip the Aquile’s wings.

Pioli focused on the positives in Lazio’s performance despite the poor result, conceding that Juventus were simply too strong.

“We were good, we wanted to impose our game and we tried, but in the end we made mistakes,” Pioli said to Sky Sport Italia.

“We managed to get through in past games but today we were playing Juventus, who were more clinical.

“It was difficult to find space but we proposed good things at times; we however did misread a few situations, with the team moving the ball well but lacking in terms of individual quality.

“In the end, I am satisfied with the personality and the spirit of my team.”
