Lazio player Dusan Basta says his side must archive their 1-1 draw with Chievo at the weekend, if they want to maintain their second place in the Serie A standings.
The Biancocelesti are two points clear of third placed rivals Roma, but could have extended their advantage over the Giallorossi who lost 2-1 to Inter on Saturday evening.
“We need to forget about that match and prepare for Wednesday when we play Parma,” he told Lazio Style Radio. “We can’t make a big deal about that result, that’s just how it goes sometimes.
“If we had gone 2-0 ahead we would have won but we didn’t get that second goal. We have shown that we don’t concede that many and when we are at full strength we are a very compact team and hopefully the players missing will be back soon.”
Regarding the tie with the Ducali, the ex-Udinese man said: “It’s a critical match. They have shown they can play well against the bigger teams.”
