The agent of Fiorentina goalkeeper Neto believes that some of Europe’s biggest clubs are tracking the Brazilian.

The 25-year-old joined the Viola in 2011 and has rose to prominence after showing potential in his 63 Serie A appearances, although a public refusal to sign a new contract in January disrupted his place in Vincenzo Montella’s side.

Talking to Gazzetta TV, Neto’s agent Stefano Castagna said: “There are many European clubs interested such as Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and even a top Spanish side.

“We are yet to make a final decision, but in any case we will not accept a loan move.

The Gigliati goalkeeper is highly rated, but his chances of starting for a Champions League level team, or making the Brazilian national side, is a source of doubt for some, but that does not phase agent Castagna.

“All the top clubs have a very strong goalkeeper so there will always be a fight for a starting place at a new team.

“For now, [Brazil national coach] Dunga has chosen other goalkeepers and I believe Neto should focus on his club career.”
