Liverpool are apparently set to move for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan in the summer.
The 26-year-old is co-owned by the Giallorossi and Cagliari, though the Sardinian side are yet to agree a fee with Roma for the remaining 50 percent of his contract.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool are prepared to offer €40 million for the Belgian, a fee which Cagliari, as well as Roma would find difficult to turn down.
Roma are looking to sign the player permanently, but Cagliari are demanding a fee of €15m for the second half of the player’s right from Roma, a figure they are not prepared to pay given they have already spent €9m on him.
Nainggolan has been a key member to Rudi Garcia’s Roma this season, making 28 appearances in Serie A and scoring on three occasions.
