Andrea Mandorlini says that Hellas Verona want to continue improving their league position ahead of Sunday’s game at home to Sassuolo.

Verona sealed a famous 1-0 away win against Fiorentina last Monday and the coach of the Gialloblu has said that his side will be looking to get as many points as possible before the end of the season.

“It has been a quiet week after a major achievement in Florence, but I am expecting a difficult game,” said Mandorlini.

“Offensively Sassuolo have good individual players, I expect a hard-fought challenge and both teams will want to win.

“We want to improve our ranking for the pride of the team and the club.

“We are not mathematically safe, but I think last week’s win in Florence has allowed us to reach our goal.”

With the exception of Emil Halfredsson and Artur Ionita, Mandorlini has a full squad available to select ahead of Sunday’s match.

“Sala? He’s a player who is growing and gaining experience and will continue to do so, he suffered a knock during the week but he should be available,” said the 54-year old coach.

“Marquez did not train that much this week, but if he feels up to it then he will play.”

Verona are 15th in Serie A with 36 points after their win against Fiorentina all but ensured they retained their Serie A status.
