Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella has not allowed his team to go into a ritiro training camp following a huge dip in form within the league.
The Tuscan outfit were embarrassed by lowly Cagliari as they we left picking up the pieces in a shock 3-1 defeat at home, a result which leaves them without a league win since the beginning of April, in addition to the defeat at the hands of rivals Juventus in the Coppa Italia.
With a second successive loss in-front of home supporters , Fiorentina’s losing streak is threatening to dampen their season, with outrage spreading throughout the fans who demand drastic action.
Reports from Rai Sport suggest that owner of the club Andrea Della Valle, had called for a withdrawal to ritiro with immediate effect only to be denied by Montella.
It is believed that despite a request from the Viola patron, the head coach made the decisive call, and therefore his players will train as previously scheduled ahead of the clash away to Juventus.
