Juventus legend Pavel Nedved is relishing the prospect of seeing his former side clash with Real Madrid in the Champions League semi finals.

The Bianconeri were drawn against Los Blancos during Friday’s draw, avoiding Barcelona and 2013’s champions Bayern Munich, in a battle which Czech icon Nedved says will be good for the Turin side.

“It’s nice to meet again with Real Madrid, who are monsters,” commented Nedved to Sky Sport Italia.

“We know that we will meet with the holders, but we want to go for it and give it our all, and I’m sure it will be great for our fans.

“We are happy to be here, and be able to challenge the three other best teams in the world.”

Regarding the possibility of drawing other teams, Nedved says it wouldn’t make a difference:

“I do not think that there are any advantages or disadvantages comapred to our other rivals, we have to play to the best of our ability.”

Juventus are currently experiencing their best European campaign in 12 years, having finished as runners-up in 2003 to fellow Serie A giants AC Milan.

The first leg will be played on May 5 or May 6, with the return fixture arriving the week after.
