A super-fan of Calcio Padova inserted a pre-prenuptial agreement into his marriage contract that allows him to attend his team’s matches on Sundays, and has been with his wife for 18 years.
Patavini fan Gianfranco Borsatti, aged 55, decided that he would only take his partner’s hand in marriage if she agreed that for every Sunday when Padova are playing at home – or for important away games – she would let him go to the game, no questions asked.
The story – unlike that of newly-reformed Serie D side Padova – is one of success, with Borsatti and his wife Orietta being happily married since the made their vows in 1997, as reported by TV Padovana Telecitta.
The clause simply reads: “I’ll marry you if you always let me go to Padova matches, in return for taking her to concerts and theatre performances she is interested in.”
