After succumbing to a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of Napoli away at the Stadio San Paolo, Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual feels his opponents were more determined to get the win than the Viola were.
Dries Mertens, Marek Hamsik and Jose Callejon were all able to grab a goal each, sinking Fiorentina at home, who were coming off another 3-0 loss to Juventus in the Coppa Italia last week.
“Napoli were more determined than us [Fiorentina],” said the 33-year-old captain to Rai Sport.
“We came from a 3-0 defeat at home against Juventus [in the Coppa Italia] and now a 3-0 defeat against Napoli.
“We want to react. We are an important team and we want to prove it to everyone.”
