Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is in a race to get fit for the Champions League semi-final, after having watched his side overcome Monaco in last night’s quarter-final second leg tie from the stands.
The French star is recovering from a hamstring problem picked up last month which was expected to sideline him for the rest of the current Serie A campaign.
However, Tuttosport reports that the player is confident he can make himself available despite medical staff predicting his injury would keep him out till mid-May, when the domestic season would already be over.
But, Pogba has targetted the Champions League semi-final second leg and hopes to be ready and at the disposal of coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The Bianconeri are still in line to battle it out for Europe’s elite trophy, as they joined Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the final four of the competition.
