Roma head coach Rudi Garcia has voiced his displeasure with his side, following their 1-1 home draw to Atalanta on Sunday afternoon.

Knowing a win would have seen them re-take second place in the Serie A table and overtake Lazio, the Giallorossi put in a poor performance against the Orobici who held on to earn a point, and Garcia was quick to admit his team’s failings.

“I can only be angry, because Roma didn’t play well,” Garcia told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“We fell asleep, while in the second half we played a little but we didn’t show that we wanted to take back second place.

“I prefer to keep a few words for just my players, today few things worked for us, otherwise we would have won.

“No-one was good, even the referee and Atalanta were poor.

“We were missing our usual game, I cannot explain the attitude of the team today.

“I’m not disappointed, but angry.”
