Benjamin MendyAlthough Torino’s Bruno Peres remains the primary target for Roma to strengthen the full-back slot in the capital, the club have also identified Marseille’s Benjamin Mendy as an alternative should the Granata man not arrive.

The 20-year-old has been with the Ligue 1 club since moving from Le Harve in 2013 and has played an important part in their title challenge this campaign under Marcelo Bielsa.

According to Il Tempo, Giallorossi sporting director Walter Sabatini has been scouting the youngster, but the French club would be in no direct need to release the full-back in a hurry.

Mendy has been an almost ever-present for Marseille this term making 30 league appearances and has provided six assists for his teammates.
