Serie A side Roma look ready to make an approach for Verona wing-back Jacopo Sala after having sent representatives to watch him during last weekend’s match with Sassuolo.

The former Chelsea youth team player can operate anywhere along the right flank, being just as effective in defence as well as in attack and could be the answer to one of the Giallorossi’s problematic full back issues.

According to Il Tempo, Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini has received favorable reports from his scouting team and the club is preparing to discuss the matter with the player to find out whether a switch to the Stadio Olimpico would be of interest.

The 23-year-old’s current deal with the Gialloblu is set to expire in 2016, so the possibility of a transfer is very high, as Verona would not want to risk losing Sala for free come next Summer.
