Dynamo Kiev goalkeeper and captain Oleksandr Shovkovskiy revealed that the Ukrainian side studied the Viola’s 3-0 loss away at Napoli and will adjust their tactics accordingly.

The 40-year-old also believes that the home fans can push the Ukrainian side on in the first leg in Kiev.

“We followed Fiorentina’s game against Napoli and we are going to use that to change things from a tactical perspective,” said Shovkovskiy at the pre-match press conference.

“The goals they conceded in that game came from individual errors.”

The veteran goalkeeper also spoke about the potential impact that the Dynamo fans can have on the fixture.

“The support of our fans could give us an advantage,” said Shovkovskiy.

“I hope that this challenging game will be entertaining for them.”

Finally, the 40-year-old said that he doesn’t believe that Fiorentina’s higher average age when compared to Dynamo’s will have any effect on the game.

“You shouldn’t worry about certain things,” said Shovkovskiy.

“You should only evaluate the physical and psychological state of a team.”
