Udinese are believed to be ready to part company with head coach Andrea Stramaccioni this summer and replace him with current Chievo boss Rolando Maran.

The ex-Inter coach took over last June after Francesco Guidolin brought an end to his spell at the Friuli but, according to reports in the peninsula, his stay will be a short one.

Sport Mediaset claim that the Zebrette hierarchy have not been pleased with how the season has progressed for the club, who currently sit 13th in the table despite last weekend’s win against AC Milan.

It is believed that Giampaolo Pozzo favours offering Flying Donkeys coach Maran the job after he took over the struggling Bentegodi side and steered them comfortably away from relegation trouble.

In the event that his assistant coach Dejan Stankovic joins him in departing the north east, they suggest that Inter would be interested in hiring him as a ‘vice-Mancini’ at a club where he remains a popular figure.
